Positive Thinking Is More An Attitude Than A Characteristic

We tend to think that positive thinking means a radiant person who always looks confident, but it does not need so. Positive thinking is to think any things that can help you solve the problems you get, think of any benefits or lessons you can get from any things you don't like.

Seek and you will find, seek anything that is valuable and you will find, for example you may learn a lesson from one bad investment. But if you focus on complaining, what you get is just thoughts that can not help you.

Why I say positive thinking is not the privilege for those radiant people?

For example, if you have a project to do, you feel nervous and fear you will not do well, that is not called negative thinking in my opinion, but rather called cautious. Because you take time to prepare, think of any events that may happen so you'll be more confident, and the endeavors you put helps. And what he will do next is to convey his ideas and deliberations, he will try to talk in a nice way that other people can perceive, he will smile and talk as if he already thought of any possibilities.

And guess what other people may think? "He looks very confident!" Although he may feel quite nervous before the presentation.

T. Harv Eker said, "Rich and successful people have fear, rich and success people have downs, rich and successful people have worries, they just don't let the feelings stop them"

And many comedy actors confessed that they really feel quite anxious before the show, but when they stand on the stage, they just concentrate on their performance, and leave us a wonderful show. What kind of thinking may not help is, for example, complaining others or just wanting to evade the troubles.

With this perspective, positive thinking is a kind of habits everyone can develop, even if you feel you are not a confident person right now, because it is just an attitude, not your inborn characteristic.

Positive Thinking: Are You Truly Being Positive?

Life Strategies For Helping You Help Yourself

Positive thinking in this day and age is a tool people are trying to incorporate into their lives; from housewives to CEO’s. But the question is what is positive thinking and how do our thinking patterns truly affect how we feel and how successful we are?

The mind is a neutral party and can be positive or negative depending on what it is trained to think. Our training comes from our lives as a whole and many people are an active part of our training: parents, teachers, friends, those of a religious position etc. So at the point that we begin to choose what information we want, and what information serves the mind, it is here where we decide whether or not to absorb positive or negative information. To be positive is not to simply think, on a conscious level of happy things but to get to the roots of our thinking and make changes in the subconscious. It will then start to show in all aspects or our lives. Success breeds success; therefore successful thoughts breed successful thoughts which in turn breed successful actions, and so on. So if you begin to create successful thoughts and make it a habit to think this way you will become successful.

An example of our training is in our beliefs. Our beliefs are our filters in life. They decide the way in which we view the world, and whether or not we will absorb certain pieces of information. If I believe that all men are not worthy, then no matter what man I meet, regardless of how fantastic he is, I will still view him as not worthy, because I was trained to do so.

So the question now is how do we overcome the training that we were given, and eradicate those beliefs and patterns of thinking that do not support us?

If you feel that you hold a particular belief, e.g., the one about men, go out and act against this belief. Go and give a man a chance. This changes the mental connections of the old thinking and so you are forming a new belief. The more you challenge a belief the less your mind holds on to it.

    1. Write down your thoughts and feelings. This is a great way to get to the subconscious mind.

    2. Be more aware of the thoughts that color your judgment. The more aware you are the better chance you have at changing the ones you do not like.

    3. What you think is a mirror image of your life, subconsciously and consciously. So whilst you are working on the subconscious, watch what your conscious thoughts are. If they are negative acknowledge them, but move on and act in spite of these thoughts.

    How To Implement Positive Affirmation

Life Strategies For Helping You Help Yourself

Positive Affirmation - Let me dissect what it is today.

Affirmation is defined in the dictionary as 'the assertion that something exists or is true'. It does not matter which dictionary you choose, the definition will be pretty much the same, which brings us to the topic of positive affirmations. You may have heard people mention affirmations and how they were implementing their use in their lives, and you may have been interested, but just did not know how to start using positive affirmations in your life.

It is really pretty simple to start using the power of affirmations in your life. Basically, you just write something positive and specific in regards to an issue you are trying to resolve in your life. So what is an affirmation that you can begin with? Here is an example.

Let's say that you are having an issue with being confident. An example of a daily affirmation that you could implement is 'I am confident'. Notice that you do not say 'I will become more confident', but rather 'I am confident'. You state your affirmation in the present tense, as if it has already come to pass.

You do not have to wait until you are in a specific space or place to put your affirmation to work. You should use it as often as possible, and especially when you are dealing with your particular issue. Whenever you get a break during your day, for instance, take a moment to implement your current positive affirmations. A good daily guideline for using your affirmations is when you wake up in the morning, during your breaks throughout the day, and before going to sleep at night.

Here are some examples of affirmations to help get you started:

    * I am prosperous in everything that I do.

    * I am creative and resourceful

    * I can do anything that I put my mind to

    * I do not allow others to define who I am

Anyway, you get the point. The sooner you get started, the sooner your positive affirmations will take hold in your life. So go ahead, choose a few affirmations today.
