    Positive Thinking for Profit

Life Strategies For Helping You Help Yourself

What lies within you, that which is you, your thoughts and internal processing reflects outwardly into the world and manifests itself as your day to day life. Each belief, thought pattern and indeed your inner programming is an almost inevitable vision of your future...unless you change it!

Look at your life now. Take the major events in your life, the relationships, economic situation, your lifestyle and health. Trace these back to where they came from and you will find the first cause inevitably lies within. Take a look at your beliefs and see how they match up to where you are now.

So if your inner programming is so important then how can we start to influence and consciously change our own internal processes to reflect that which we desire. Well let's look at money as an example. If your parents were/are solid local government employees the chances are that you of the opinion that money is all about hard work spending time at the office trading your time and hard effort for an after tax wage at the end of each month, then how can you go about changing this pattern of thought.

Well, a good start would be to focus your attention and thoughts on a particular object of your desire that fills you with passion, something that requires money to attain but that you will be really motivated to obtain.

Now remembering that faith and belief are so powerful that they are the foundation of most religions how about applying them to your own goals in life. Develop your own level of belief that you will purchase that house by the sea or whatever other goal fills you with burning desire. Start to visualize yourself actually in the house, waking up in the morning, walking on to the balcony and feeling alive with the inspiring view of the sun-rise in front of you. Create in your mind a place or tunnel that you can enter and feel those thoughts and emotions at anytime and practice them regularly.

At first it may feel unrealistic that you are living your dream in your minds eye, however this is where persistence comes in. As you use this visualization technique regularly the thoughts will gain more clarity and will become more familiar, they will shrug off the feeling of unfamiliarity as you also see the pointers in your life opening the way towards your dreams fruition. Your thoughts will force you into taking positive action towards fulfilling your desires. And as you notice the doors opening where previously the way seemed barred your self-confidence and belief will increase and you will feel certain that you are but just a step away from your attaining your initial vision and desire.

Finally you will notice that your inner beliefs and desires will have led your actions along a parallel course that literally has made you take continuous positive action towards your goals until at last you physically are taking in the sunrise views from your very own beach-side villa.

The use of this visualization or positive thinking procedure creates favorable thought and action habits. There is no magic bullet to be taken, did you ever meet a person with lasting wealth who hadn't worked for it? Dreams do not come true by dreaming but by continuous positive action focused on a particular goal inspired by your thoughts and belief. Follow this process and you will astonish yourself.

I invite you now to start your own visualization process. Put aside a few minutes each day to go through a movie in your mind and keep with it, make it a part of your routine each day. Decide to improve your life here and now but most of all remember that a decision hasn't been made until you take action on it! So start right-away.

    Positive Thinking on Negativity

Life Strategies For Helping You Help Yourself

    >>  Click Here To Discover How You Can Create The Life You Want <<

The other day I bought an unusual piece of software: It runs positive affirmations on my computer, so they can influence me while I work. Sentences like “I am full of confidence” or “I love everyone I meet”. The kind that is supposed to help me so that I stop being negative. I liked the idea, but much to my surprise, it didn’t feel completely right. I just couldn’t understand why. After all, I was doing the right thing… I was, wasn’t I? I mean, I tried to ignore the not-so-positive thoughts I’m capable of, and I was reinforcing the good ones instead of. That’s good, isn’t it?

    Maybe not.

Imagine we agree that, in order to prevent further killings in our world, we will remove every killer from the face of the earth. Kill the killer. If we do that consequently we will have to kill the person who killed the killer as well. In the end, there will be no one left here to enjoy the peace... What happens if we negate our negativity? For some reason it makes me think about the Middle East conflict. How did it all begin? Being Jewish I can see it from the Jewish point of view. Having been refugee earlier in my life, I can see it from the Palestinian point of view as well. But, I know very little about history or politics, so what I am going to say here is merely a picture, nothing more. This article is not about politics - it's about inner conflicts. That being said, here is my picture: I suppose it all started with the mutual lack of accept between the Jews and those around them. A conflict that often led to suppression, isolation, violence. Out of the conflict the idea emerged, that the only way to resolve it was to remove the problem. The Nazis tried to remove the problem by removing the Jews altogether. Some of the Jews decided to remove the problem by removing themselves from a hostile world and create their own home somewhere else. To ignore the negativity and to move to something more positive. Naturally they (and the United Nations) agreed on their biblical home: Israel. But, there were people having their home there already - the Palestinians. Now, all the Jews wanted was to live in peace, alone. So did the Palestinians, I’m sure. Apparently none of the parties wished to blend, to cherish and love each other, to share the home. Over time, the old negativity reappeared, the mutual lack of tolerance and understanding accelerated, leading to the bloody situation we witness today. Could it be, that trying to remove the problem doesn’t lead to peace? If I have a problem or if I see one, my immediate reaction is to do something about it. I want to get rid of it. I don’t want it to bother me. If I encounter negativity, within myself or within someone else, my spontaneous reaction is: Stop being negative! It’s only natural, isn’t it? We don’t want negativity. We want peace, happiness, joy of life, and love.

But do I create joy of life by trying to remove negativity?

In my experience, mostly it just leads to more negativity… Telling the negative person not to be negative certainly doesn’t help. Even only ignoring the negativity can make things worse. Thinking “I love everyone I meet” doesn’t lead to love if it is being said to suppress the part that does not love everyone. The only thing that does it is love itself. I don’t think love removes or ignores anything at all! Love just is. Love doesn’t fight those who fight. Love doesn’t turn its back on them either. Love embraces the battlefield. Love embraces everyone and everything.

Which brings me back to where we started:

Boy, would I love to say: “I love everyone I meet.” Only it wouldn’t be completely true. Cause pretty often I just can’t feel that love. So… So what if I say... it’s OK... My negativity is here to stay. Like a little rock inside of me. But then... Love is here to stay too! It’s like the air, all over, and within me too. (If I let it in, that is. If I don’t stop breathing.) If I don’t hide the rock, love will find it. And love doesn’t want to remove it at all. It loves that rock! (love just can’t help loving, you know). The rock can feel that... Little by little, without knowing it, the rock will feel it so much... ... it will become love itself... If you too have a rock inside you (maybe it's not a rock, it's just something that you don’t like)... Don’t hide it from yourself. Don’t ignore it. Feel it. Feel it for as long as it takes. Give it your love and attention. Then listen to some loving music (like New Age Music) and take a walk. Neither music nor nature will try to change you. They’ll embrace you. That’s just the way it is. Let them love every single part of you. But, you might say, I can’t possibly remember to be open all the time, and just to accept and love my negativity! Well, you could work with an affirmation like: "I love my negativity too" But you don’t have to, darling! Don’t worry! YOU ARE ALL RIGHT!

Practice Self Talk and Positive Affirmation Statements in Your Life

Life Strategies For Helping You Help Yourself

    >>  Click Here To Discover How You Can Create The Life You Want <<

Positive self-talk means purposely giving yourself positive reinforcement, motivation, and recognition- just as you would do for a friend. Congratulate yourself when you do well, and remind yourself of your abilities, accomplishments, strengths and skills. Keep a to-do list, check off accomplishments, and review your progress periodically.

Make self-talk work for you. When you habitually say to yourself has a very profound impact on your self-image, your self-esteem, and your performance as well as eventual success. Remember that your subconscious triggers physiological responses to match the pictures and thoughts that you have of yourself to make them happens. Make this work for you by keeping your self-talk positive.

For example say to yourself either “ I did a good job on that changing a friend’s oil even though I took a quart and ½ for myself “ or “ I did a good job of not paying a good friend the cost of supplies for the efforts he did for me “.

Stop negative self-talk. You may well be quick to nag yourself because your mother wanted you to more than perfect. However, negative self talk can be damaging because your subconscious believes what you say to your when you repeat that negative talk in your mind over and over. How is your subconscious to know otherwise? If you catch yourself using negative self-talk, stop and rephrase. Eliminate the negative words. Focus instead on the best course you can take and do it.

Make positive communications a habit. Focus on the positive in goal statements, self-talk, and all communications. Compare the following phrases, and notice how the positive words convey confidence, commitment, and enthusiasm.

For example instead of “I will try” substitute the phrase “ I will “. Instead of saying to you “I should do “insert the phrase “I will do “. Try saying “ I want to “ or “ I choose to” instead of the more common “I must “.

Focus with affirmation statements. Affirmative statements are positive self-statements or reminders to help you achieve goals. They are positive messages with a punch “mental bumper stickers” of sorts to motivate your subconscious mind to work for you.

Here are guidelines to help you to use the powerful tool of affirmative statements as vital mental reminder technique.

    1) Make the statements personal to yourself. Not arbitrary or generic. Use the phrase “I”, your own name, or you

    2) Keep affirmations short. How can you use the affirmations if you cannot remember them?

    3) Phrase your affirmations positively. The mind accepts as truth the words that you give it. Use positive words only as affirmations. Leave out any negative words. For example say “I will not be nervous during my interview with the warden “. Rather say “ I will be calm and self-assured during my interview”

    4) Include a positive emotion. A phrase that triggers a positive emotion strengthens the affirmation. For example “My goals are valuable and it excites me.”

    5) Phrase affirmations as fact. Phrase a goal as though it is happening even if you have not achieved it yet. Your subconscious believes mental messages and works to make them a reality.

    6) Say your affirmation at least 6 times a day. Repetition is life. Repetition enhances self-confidence, acts as a reminder, and stimulates your subconscious to help you achieve your goals in life.

It cannot be overstated the impact that positive self talk and affirmative statements can help you towards the vital goals that you have identified in your life. Remember that without goals even if you work hard you are like a ship without a rudder.

These powerful tools of positive self talk and positive affirmations can more than help speed you along to your chosen goals.
